Drones are being used to track the progress of broadacre cropping enterprises in the western district, utilising the technology from the cabin of tractors.
Rural contractor and keen photographer Mark Merrett used a drone to capture the work he had undertaken at Telopea Downs on the Victoria-SA border recently.
Mr Merrett's family business, Merrett Contracting, covers the western Wimmera and south-east SA region, and in recent times he has taken to Instagram and YouTube to detail his work on the land.
In other photos, regular contributor Martin Fasso, Mia Mia, captured a newborn lamb in the shearing shed on his family's farm.
"Our lamb was born in the shearing shed waiting for its mother to be born," he said.
In Victoria's east, Hannah Perkins, who runs The Kelpie Clan on Instagram, captured a photo of her working Kelpie, Zoe, while moving some cattle near Bairnsdale.
Meanwhile, Freddie Warren, 2, was snapped cuddling a chook on a recent visit to Reedy Dam.
