Reminder that the Library will be closing between 5pm Christmas Eve and 10.30am Tuesday 5 January. No items will be due during this period but the after hours return chute will be available for those wanting to return their items. So, pop in and stock up on your reading and watching materials as the due date for books, magazines and talking books is now January. The Summer Reading Challenge is back for the kids again this summer with the theme "Myths, fairy tales and legends'. Why not drop in and pick up your pack. The challenge is great for all kids aged from Preschool to Year 12 and there are some fun prizes to win throughout the summer. Christmas Card Making sessions are back for kids aged 5 and over with limited places and COVID save restrictions in place. Bookings are required and places are filling fast. Join us for Storytime each Wednesday morning at 10.30am from November 11 until December 16. The sequel to The dressmaker by Rosalie Ham is coming. Why not read the original before the sequel is released? From November 1 all members have access until December 30 on BorrowBox without any waiting. This means that 10 of you can borrow the eAudio or the eBook at the same time. So, jump online and join BorrowBox. It is free for everyone. In the new year there will be a few activities available for the kid. We have Decorate your own library bag and or those wanting an afternoon of laughs get yourself a team together and register for the Kids Trivia @ the Library. With restrictions easing again I have been able to double the number of teams allowed for Trivia. There are some fun prizes to be had and the Candy bar will be open for snacks. Bookings are required for all activities. Further details are available via the library website, in the library or the library Facebook page. There is only one free online author talk left for 2020 and that is Mary Li on Thursday 10 December. Anyone wishing to attend the talk is reminded that these events are free, but you must book in prior to the event to guarantee a spot. The talks are hosted thanks to the NSW Public Libraries Association and the coordinating committee.
