A man has been charged over a crash in eastern Victoria that left a woman dead and an 11-year-old boy badly injured.
The trio's Ford Falcon sedan crashed into a tree at Flynn in Gippsland at 7.50pm on Monday.
A 31-year-old woman died at the scene while the boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The 38-year-old man was charged with dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing serious injury, driving an unregistered car and unlicensed driving.
He was taken to hospital under police guard and was set to appear at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
