The Barwidgee Angus stud of Wendy and David Kelly, Caramut, celebrated another successful sale with their spring bull sale last week, twice topping at $14,000.
The result followed on a strong result in the stud's autumn sale.
Stud co-principal Wendy Kelly said it was a great result.
Repeat clients were the foundation of this sale's success.
She said the prices and clearance rate were indicators that "they are doing what our buyers want".
"Hopefully they are lasting a long time. We are trying to breed bulls with longevity," she said.
Ms Kelly said the sale was interfaced on the AuctionsPlus platform.
Three bulls were sold via AuctionsPlus.
Daquiri Nominees, Willaura, purchased four bulls on the day, including both bulls that sold for $14,000.
One top bull was lot five, 18171 sired by Alloura Get Cracking G10.
The bull had growth estimated breeding values of =45 kilograms 200-day weight, +87kg 400-day weight and +106kg for 600-day.
The bull was described as a good heifer bull as well as being in the top 2pc for eye muscle area (EMA) at +11.6.
The other bull to make $14,000 was lot 6, Barwidgee 18179. The bull was one of 13 sons of Rennylea L519 in the sale catalogue.
The bull was described as a big bull with top 10pc EBVs for all growth traits as well as a moderate birth weight (BW) figure. The bull had a BW of +4.9, 200-day growth of +59kg, 400-day growth of +104kg and 600-day of +137kg.
The same buyer paid $12,000 for lot nine, Barwidgee 18391. his lot was by Barwidgee 14119 - a son of Rennylea Edmond E11.
Repeat buyer and volume purchaser was Jamecca Plains, Caramut.
Nine bulls were knock down to Jamecca to a top of $13,000 for lot one of the sale.
The bull, Barwidgee 18241, was by Rennylea L519 and had an EBV of +3.5 BW and an intramuscular fat (IMF) figure of +4.7.
Jamecca also bought lot 10, Barwidgee 18267, for $11,000. The bull was also by Rennylea L519 with a low BW of 3.2 and a top 2pc IMF of +6.6.
JW & CK McMahon, paid $13,000 for lot 17, Barwidgee 181147, another of the Rennylea L519 sons. The bull had figures of +49kg 200-day growth, +94kg for 400-day and +122kg fo 600-day. It also had an IMF of +3.4.
Lot 17 went for $13,000 to Brandon Pastoral, Hamilton. Barwidgee 18167 was by Rennylea L519 and was top 15pc of the breed for all indexes. They included an IMF of 3.7 and EMA of 9.1.
Another bull to make $12,000 was lot 25, Barwidgee 18555, a grandson of Rennylea Edmond. The buyer was Omnizar.
