Interstate demand underpinned the annual spring auction of Poll Hereford bulls and females on account Ian and Diana Locke, Wirruna, Holbrook.
A near one hundred percent clearance was a feature when they offered 62 two year-old bulls which realised a top price of $32,000 and average price of $7795 for 61 sold.
Of the eight stud heifers offered, top price paid was $12,000 and an average price paid of $6031 for the eight.
Ten registered PTIC females sold in two groups to $3750 for an average price $3560.
The top priced bull, a son of Wirruna Fletcher F214 was bought by Steve Reid, Talbalba Herefords, Millmerran, Queensland.
The bull was purchased through AuctionsPlus with Nutrien studstock agent Tim Woodham making the bid.
The top priced heifer, Wirruna Mary P503 by Wirruna Fort F382 out of a daughter of Allendale Anzac E114 was bought by Tom Honner, Minlacowlie Poll Herefords, Brentwood, SA.
The heifer was purchased on behalf of Tom Honner by Tim Reid, JTR Cattle Co, Roslyn acting for Nutrien studstock.
The Helmsman buying system was settled by John Atkins, Atkins Marketing Livestock, Wodonga with many lots purchased through AuctionsPlus.
