The heifer yarding in particular was the beneficiary of the strong competition with prices jumping by more than 120 cents a kilogram on the previous month.
Weighed heifers sold to a top of 398c/kg with open auction heifers selling between $820 and $1020 a head.
The yarding of nearly 2300 cattle was well up on the advertised number with producers happy to sell cattle while the strong demand was pushing prices up.
The sale was described by many people as the best ever at the selling centre.
Steers sold to a packed gallery trying to secure numbers with almost all cattle with weight reaching 380-412c/kg.
Open auction steers sold from $1000 to $1330 and light steers $720 and $1000.
Crossbred steers prices also jumped with many lines selling from 300-330c/kg.
Cows and calves to a top of $2420 for a pen of 10 Angus cows and calves while most lines sold from $1700 to $2200 and springing heifers, to calve in March, sold for $2060.
