If you’ve attended a cattle or sheep market in the last six months, chances are you’ve seen a Stock & Land reporter, phone-in-hand, filming the sale.
What you might not know is that those videos were being livestreamed on our Facebook page to thousands of eager onlookers.
But if you are an avid Facebook user, chances are you have seen these videos in your news feed.
It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you can watch a video from a market as it happens, simply at the click of a button.
Not only have the Stock & Land reporters been filming the sales themselves, but also interviewing agents afterwards, providing market updates to viewers as soon as the sale has finished.
So if you’re an agent or a passer by and you see a reporter filming a sale, give the viewers at home a wave, and keep bad language to a minimum, we don’t want expletives broadcast live on our social media challenges.
