The Denney family's Ennismore aggregation near Wycheproof sold in nine lots for a total of more than $5.365 million last week going to existing local landholders.

The 2266 hectares property west of Wycheproof had been in the Denney family for more than 140 years and was offered in nine lots.

Selling agents, Elders, Kevin Thompson said the chance to add to existing holdings was the catalyst for a large crowd of bidders that saw strong competition on all blocks selling to local buyers.

Lot one, Ennismore Homestead, comprising 340ha with improvements sold under the hammer for $2618 a hectare and was bought by Trevor Botheras and Sons. The same buyer paid $2445/ha for lot six, Kerrs comprising 129ha.
