Prices for grown steers rose 10 cents to average 183c/kg (live), while weaner steer sales averaged almost 200c as most realised 195-220c/kg.
Demand for unjoined heifers, however, was even stronger, soaring 20c on the previous month's sale to average 183-c/kg with some sales exceeding 200c/kg.
