Alex Stevens has been appointed to the role of Managing Director, Fonterra Brands Australia.

He will be responsible for managing a portfolio of leading dairy brands including Mainland, Bega® and Perfect Italiano cheese, Ski® and Nestle Diet® yoghurt, Western Star and Mainland butter, CalciYum and Chill flavoured milk and Brownes and Riverina Fresh milk.
Alex will report to Fonterra Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, John Doumani and be a member of the Australia & New Zealand leadership team of Fonterra.
Alex was previously with Foster’s Group as Managing Director of Carlton and United Breweries and before that he was Chief Executive Officer, PepsiCo Australia & New Zealand where he generated outstanding business results, grew the Pepsi Max and Gatorade brands, launched Red Rock Deli crisps, developed new advertising campaigns for iconic Smith’s and Twisties and acquired businesses such as Sakata Rice Snacks and Bluebird Snackfoods New Zealand.
John Doumani, Fonterra Australia and New Zealand Managing Director said that Fonterra was pleased to be able to appoint someone of the calibre of Alex Stevens.
“Alex joins us with an impressive track record in achieving results in blue-chip fast moving consumer goods businesses. He also has a strong track record in nurturing talent and building leadership within businesses.
“Alex has experience in achieving exceptional growth in sales and market share in the incredibly competitive beverage and snacks sectors. As a leader he has improved the way organisations work through a commitment to people development and coaching,” he said.

Alex Stevens will take up his role on Monday August 16 and will be based at the Fonterra Australia Corporate Centre in Mt Waverley, Melbourne.
