There will be three human consumption grades, CS06, suitable for milling into flour, CS07, for use in tofu and other culinary products and CS08, for use in crushing and making oil.
Soy Australia said details of the specification were available.
Protein in soybeans is one of the key quality parameters that determine if the soybeans are suitable for the high value culinary markets such as tofu and soymilk, so with the CS07 paygrade there is a minimum level of protein required of 40pc.
