Big chunks of this series, exploring the lives of seven dwarves house-sharing while they perform in a Christmas panto, have not been particularly interesting. But something about tonight's subject, 26-year-old Ryan Webb, makes everything feel more meaningful. That probably has something to do with Ryan. He's very likeable. Not long after he was born, a specialist told his parents he wouldn't amount to much but a circus would probably be happy to have him one day. (He has completed a university degree, won a number of medals in junior athletics, played drums in a band for 10 years and works in marketing for an international perfume company.) As a teen he used to pretend to himself that he was a film star to explain people staring, so watching him here find true love is particularly rewarding.
