Wether lamb prices topped at $176 a head at AWN's Edenhope first-cross wether and crossbred store lamb sale on Thursday.
AWN Edenhope manager David Hanel said the 4200-head yarding attracted "extremely strong" store support for all types.
WD RG & NW Robinson topped the sale for a large line of 267 shorn first-cross wether lambs, with the top two lines bound for Ballarat finishing.
The Robinsons averaged $166 across their 641-head offering, marking a rise of $20 on last year's result.
Mr Hanel said the AWN Wimmera network purchased nearly half of the yarding, with strong store support from Ballarat, Bendigo and Heywood.
In the shorn first-cross wether lamb offering, WH Kealy & Sons, Edenhope, sold 170 lambs to $173, while Westwood, Edenhope, sold 294 at $171, and Staude Partnership, Pigeon Ponds, sold 161 at $168.
Other major lines included EF & HL Yates, with 95 at $170, and WP & PK Caldow, with 164 at $170.
Unshorn lambs reached a sale high of $156, paid for 302 White Suffolk/Merino-cross lambs, offered by TR and RC Rokebrand, Edenhope.
Yiddinga, Edenhope, offered 310 White Suffolk/Merino-cross lambs which sold to $138, while AT & RA Bradey sold 178 Border Leicester/Merino-cross at $137.
