UNBELIEVABLE was the word vendor Robert Endacott used to describe the results from the Red Hill Australian White's 7th on-property sale held at Wongarbon today, where new stud bests were recorded.
Overall it was a full clearance of 10 stud rams, 58 stud ewes and 67 flock rams with stud and commercial buyers active from Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania and throughout New South Wales.
The 10 stud rams topped at $11,000, twice, and averaged $7100, while the 67 flock rams topped at $6250 and averaged $4343. Fifty-eight stud ewes topped at $5800 and averaged $3521.
Queensland buyers Murray and Helen Schroder, Keilah Australian White stud, Inglewood, secured the first of the equal top-priced rams, Red Hill 200313 for $11,000.
Fellow Queensland buyers Mark and Angie Davey of Springdale stud, Stanthorpe operated online via AuctionsPlus to secure the second $11,000 top-priced ram Red Hill 200312.
Both were single-born rams sired by Tattykeel 180204, that Mr Endacott said were some of his picks of the draft.
The Schroder's selection RH200313 was an August 2020-drop ram which weighed 100 kilograms and was out of Red Hill 171164, while the Davey's purchase RH200312 was a September 2020-drop ram out of Red hill 181356 that tipped the scales at 91kg.
Glenowra Australian White sheep stud, Fifield, purchased four rams including the second top-priced stud ram at $9500.
Red Hill 20095 was the ram, also by the Tattykeel 180204 sire. He weighed 103kg as an August 2020-drop ram, and was a twin-born out of Red hill 150312.
Glenowra stud paid an average of $5938 across its draft.
The $5800 top-priced ewe was Red Hill 200284 purchased by repeat clients the Pederick family of Sans-Souci Australian White stud, Tamworth.
Described by Joe Pederick as "an exceptional ewe that will fit the program", she was a twin-born August 2020-drop ewe sired by Tattykeel 180204 and out of Red Hill 160834. She weighed 78kg and sold scanned in lamb (SIL) to Red Hill 200038.

Operating on the stud ewe offering, Woodlands Australian White stud, Moama purchased 10 ewes for a $3920 average, I and V O'Neill purchased 10 ewes for a $3940 average, and Clubby Australian Whites, Lidster purchased five for a $4200 average.
Jariberg Pty Ltd, Quindallup, Coolah paid $6250 for the top-priced flock ram, Red Hill 200250 another 96kg twin-born, August 2020-drop son of Tattykeel 180204. It also selected Tattykeel 200236 for $6000, and averaged $6125 across the pair.
Prior to the sale commencing the Red Hill Australian White offering had 5022 catalogue views on the AuctionsPlus online platform. Overall buyers operating through the platform secured 42 lots, or 31 per cent, of the offering.
The sale was conducted by Nutrien Dubbo with stud stock agents Brad Wilson and John Settree sharing the duties as auctioneers.
