The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted damaging wind gusts, from a blustery cold front, are likely to continue across much of Victoria today.
Yesterday's cold front brought the strongest gusts of 122 kilometres an hour at Mount Hotham, while Mt Buller recorded 119km/h winds and Mt William 105km/h.
The bureau said minor flooding is also likely in the north-east.
BoM meteorologist Tom Delamotte said the severe weather warning was still in place.
"We will see strong gusts continue today, and very squally showers and thunderstorms across Victoria," Mr Dellamotte said.
"We are not going to see the sustained strong winds, but when those showers and storms move through, we could still see some gusts of up to 90-100kph.
"We are going to see some quite squally conditions at times and the winds will pick up very quickly."
He said most of the state, apart from east Gippsland and along the Murray River, would be affected.
There are also minor flood warnings in place, after predictions of further falls of 10-25 millimetres of rain in the north-east ranges.
Minor flooding was expected after the rain in the Ovens, King and Kiewa River catchments.
There would be a large swell, along the south-west coast, and some minor coastal inundation.
It was expected to snow around the Alpine regions, with very low visibility and the potential for blizzards in the resorts.
