Values for steers 300-400kg ranged from $1640 to $1970 for nine Brewer Black Simmental steers nine to ten months and weighing 393kg sold by A and A Ibbott, Gundowering, Victoria.
Steers over 400kg sold from $1880 to $2420 for seven 20-month Angus weighing 523kg sold on account TG and S Pendergast, Lima South, Vic.
Steers under 300kg sold to $1690 when Salzke Enterprises, Jindera, offered 21 Angus weighing 290kg.
Some representative sales included 15 Angus/Friesian steers, 22 months and weighing 511kg sold by K and S Wilson, Corryong, Vic, for $2090: 16 Angus weighing 365kg sold by DDF Pastoral, Wangaratta, Vic for $1840 and 12 Rossrich-blood Angus weighing 310kg sold by Bradley Schultz, Burrumbuttock, for $1775.
In the female pens, values for those in the 300-400kg weight range varied from $1500 to $1900 for nine Taple Top and Fernhill-blood Angus nine-ten months and weighing 387kg offered on account CR and M Anderson, Indigo Valley, Vic.
Females under 300kg sold to $1550 for 50 Kenmere-blood Charolais weighing 290kg sold on account CM Pastoral, Hay: while those above 400kg sold from $1910 to $2000 when 20 Angus, 14-15months and weighing 462kg were offered by LD and JM Kelly, Yancandandah, Vic.
PTIC cows sold to $2440 when GA and MW Heywood, Everton, Vic., penned three Angus weighing 565kg to calve in August.
Cows with calves sold to $3700 when Willette Farms, Tocumwal, offered 22 Angus with first calves by Landfall Angus and depastured to Allora Angus sires.
The sale was streamed through StockLive and stock went to Berrima, Coonamble and Finley while Victorian restockers from Yea, Corryong and Wangaratta competed with local producers with very determined demand from feedlot interests.
The sale was conducted by Wodonga-based agents Paull and Scollard Nutrien and Elders.
