In-calf females sold to $3250 a head to highlight the annual Euroa feature female sale and special store sale.
Nutrien Ag's Russell Mawson, Euroa, said more producers had sent weaners into the sale rather than sending them for export.
Mr Mawson said exports had a lot of extra requirements, whereas "we don't have the complications".
"The numbers were up on last year because the grass job is so strong people are putting them into the store pens," he said.
"Weights were definitely heavier than last year.
"Prices were higher than last, but that's mostly to do with weights."
Tops of the in-calf heifer portion of the yarding came from the feature line of Michael & Olga Hill, and son Marcus, Connamara, Ruffy.
Connamara forwarded two-year-old Angus females, tested in-calf to sons of Baldridge and Compass and Pathfinder 1415 after a nine-week joining.
The top two pens that totaled 22 sold for $3250.
The next pen of 17 sold for $3000 with one buyer taking the first three pens.
Marj King, Wellwood, Bulmattum, forwarded 15 PTIC heifers that sold for $3150.
The draft comprised rising two-year-old heifers, tested in-calf to Alpine Angus bull P470.
The Good Hope Pastoral, Mansfield, draft included 24 across two pens that made $2850.
Part of the annual draft from GE & AM Hill, Innisfail, Ruffy, included a pen of 10 that made $2825.
The draft was two-year-old tested in-calf to low birth weight Innisfail bulls for eight weeks.
Lines of heifer weaners included 19 sold account Warrenall, Warrenbayne, that weighed 340kg and sold for $1530 or 450 cents a kilogram.
Another regular vendor for both steers and heifers, McGeehan & Gall, Flowerdale, Bullmattum, forwarded the heifer portion of their weaners comprising 8-10 months, by a Newnham bull.
The top pen of 24, 375kg, sold for $1600 or 426c/kg.
Their second pen of 27, 335kg, sold for $1470 or 438c/kg.
The heifer portion of Leonie Ryan's drop included a pen of 24, 277kg, making $1340 or 483c/kg.
A pen of 20 light heifers account Gooram Springs, Gooram, 258kg, sold for $1250 or 484c/kg.
Other pens included 19 account Beavis Farming, Violet Town, 297kg, that made $1365 or 459c/kg, and J Devanny, with 10 at 312kg making $1360 or 455c/kg.
Crystal Glen sold 12 heifers, 305kg, for $1320.
A consignment from Major Views, Major Plains, sold in three pens with 13 at 367kg making $1490 or 405c/kg, 20 at 321kg for $1390 or 433c/kg, and 13 at 290kg for $1330 or 458v/kg.
