Restockers saw the annual Nhill and Kaniva districts annual ewe and wether sale match corresponding auctions, pushing the price for ewes up to $330/head.
Agents yarded 5608 head of ewes, lambs and hoggets.
Driscoll, McIllree & Dickinson and Westech Ag Kyle Livestock yarded 3011 ewes, 2408 lambs and 1892 hoggets.
Stuart Kyle, Westech Ag said the top of the ewes sold to $330/head, averaging $254, while the wether lambs went to $145/head, averaging $133.
He said the ewes exceeded expectations.
"We were really happy, they sold to about $40 above expectations," Mr Kyle said.
"We thought they would get $290, maybe $300.
"Certainly, it was as good as everywhere else."
The sale was held exclusively online, through AuctionsPlus and Mr Kyle said the quality of the stock was good.
"I thought some of the lambs could have had a bit more sunshine on them, that wouldn't have hurt," he said.
"With the good season, we haven't that warmth, yet, so some of the lambs could have had a bit more bloom on them."
Brock Quick, DMD, said bidders came from NSW, South Australia and Victoria.
"It was a very, very good sale," Mr Quick said.
"There was one processor, but he didn't buy any stock, everything went back into the paddock..
"The job has rebounded, the sheep job is going pretty strong and the lamb job seems to have bounced back.
"So, with the season finishing early finishing earlier in our area, there is the confidence to go back and buy and restock."
