For their annual sale Alistair and Natasha Wells, One Oak Poll Merino stud, Jerilderie penned 110 rams for consideration by discerning wool growers.
The average micron for all of the rams penned is 19.9, 3.3 SD, 16.7 CV and 99.1 percent comfort factor.
Mr Wells noted the wool is soft, white and heavy and the structure of the rams square, showing good constitution across the board.
They represent the breeding objective at One Poll Merino stud of combining wool quality with production.
Top price at auction was $15,000 and there were 104 sold for average price of $2447.
The top priced ram was purchased by Geoff Longmire, Narrandera.
Before the auction, a ram was sold privately for $30,000 and bought by Justin Boughen, Kamora/Netley Park Poll Merinos, Karoonda, SA.
The sale was settled by Nutrien Ag Solutions, Finley with Peter Godbolt (Nutrien) and Nick Gray (Elders) taking the bids.
