New metropolitan lockdown laws in Victoria are reaffirming one of the many benefits of country living.

In this week's social media snapshot, first-time contributor Sophie Healey, Ecklin South, captured an adorable photo of her nine-month-old niece, Lahni Merrett, sharing an intimate moment with an alpaca.

Wimmera farmer Sarah Maher, Marlu, Lubeck, snapped the cutest photo of the week featuring Jess the Kelpie as she acted as guard dog to the family's wool bales. At Heathcote, Geraldine Fasso sent in a photo of her sheep having a feed on a foggy morning.

Regular contributor Bindi Whitehead, Spring Creek, Minhamite, took a photo of her family working hard while at Croxton East, and said "nothing like an honest day's work to keep their feet firmly on the ground".

Mixed farmer Tracey Kruger photograph a young Hereford calf in front of the picturesque Grampians National Park backdrop.
