Longerenong Agricultural College students will soon have access to updated classrooms, auditorium, computer laboratory student resource centre following a $2 million funding boost from the Victorian Government.
Minister for Training and Skills and Higher Education Gayle Tierney today visited Longerenong to make the announcement, which will also see the amenities block upgraded to create one multi-function facility.
Ms Tierney said the announcement was a boon for the next generation of farmers and rural workers in western Victoria.
"We know that getting a great education shouldn't have to mean moving from regional Victoria to the city," Ms Tierney said.
"That's why we're upgrading student facilities at agriculture colleges.
"We're supporting our agriculture industry in western Victoria by growing local jobs and delivering the tools to ensure we continue to lead the country - this is the next step."
