DAVID Hazell's company might be called Onetrak, but it's far from narrow.

Onetrak is a heavy equipment supplier with a national footprint.

Sales and service outlets are located in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.

The company sells and supports heavy equipment across the earthmoving, forestry, extractive and material handling industries.

This offering includes a range of machinery suitable for property maintenance and the agricultural sector.

Onetrak's growth has been measured, a matter of grasping opportunities as they emerged while remaining wedded to a philosophy to keep the customer and their needs in sharp focus.

"We're a small business with a family feel," Mr Hazell said.

"A lot of our suppliers share that same culture and it fits very well for us."

Onetrak did not exist 15 years ago.

HEAVY LIFTING: When the going gets tough and heavy machinery is needed the best option might be calling Onetrak.

While its early days were firmly centered on Hyundai products, Onetrak quickly built a presence in the forestry industry space by becoming a national dealer for Tigercat and its range of forestry felling equipment.

Nowadays, Onetrak also distributes Dressta, Hidromek, Striker, Anaconda and Terex-Fuchs machines.

Dressta, formerly known as International Harvesters and Dresser, are designed and manufactured in Poland. Dozers are Dressta's hero products, and the range covers all bases from compact to mid-sized and large.

Hidromek is a global brand and long-term market leader in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The machinery range includes excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders and graders. The Hidromek motor graders, formerly marketed by Mitsubishi, are also very well-regarded and popular machines in Australia.

Mr Hazell said it was just as critical to business success to provide high-grade machinery as it was to have quality staff and good customer relations.

Onetrak supports customers through seven workshops and qualified technicians.

Hidromek is a contender in the backhoe market

Come, take a closer look at the Hidromek HMK102B Supra Backhoe Loader.

Supra Series Backhoe Loaders come with dual LCD displays (front and rear) allowing the operator to easily check all gauges both in the loading and excavating position. When operating for long hours at a time this is a big plus - saving the operator from neck and back aches.

The machine is smooth to operate thanks to its six-forward three-reverse fully automatic transmission. Optional torque converter lock is automatically engaged in 5th and 6th gear providing great fuel economy.

The Supra comes standard with crane valves on both the front and rear cylinders. Hydraulic side shift is also included, which is a great tool as there is no need to shift manually.

The optional MSS (Motion Stabiliser System) works as a shock absorber on the loader lift cylinders. By damping the shock that occurs when a full loader bucket is used on rough terrain it is comfortable to operate while not compromising on speed. The cab is also very spacious with more room front and rear than many other models on the market.

Another great feature is the TIPSHIFT button (forward-reverse direction control). This is provided so the operator can apply both loader and forward-reverse commands from one single point. This is both safer and more comfortable as you don't have to break contact with the steering and loader controls.

There is an extensive range of options including upgrading to the all-wheel steer version with four equal size wheels, switchable between two-wheel, all-wheel and crab steering.

Also worth noting is Onetrak's guaranteed trade back offering on the entire Hidromek range providing peace of mind when making your equipment purchase.

It is safe to say this is a great contender in the backhoe segment. The Hidromeks are well worth a look if you're in the market for new equipment.
