STEERS in the 2020 NSW Beef Spectacular Feedback Trial entered the final stage of the competition last week, with steers exiting the feedlot and being processed.
After a total of 112 days on feed, the 425 head of cattle representating 87 teams were weighed as they left the Teys Australia Jindalee Feedlot. This will allow their average daily weight gains to be calculated for the feedlot performance category.
Steers will now be assessed for carcase merit by the feedback trial's analyst Jeff House, Jeff House Livestock, Forbes, who will compile and analyse the results that will be released during the annual presentation night where producers will receive the much anticipated feedback they are chasing.
There will be new awards this year based around grading, carcase evaluation and value based marketing criteria.
Entrants are reminded the event's annual awards night and presentation evening will be held at the Wagga Wagga RSL on January 31.
RSVPs are required to The Land's office by January 7.
