Interest in the sale was strong with several volume vendors, including Jock and Rebecca Heard, Wonwondah, with 1300 head, and Westwood, Patyeh, with 1100 head.

Significant buying interest came mainly from the western district, more specifically Hamilton, Casterton, Warrnambool and Heywood.

The following day at Naracoorte, the saleyard ripped back its national record for first-cross ewes, with prices peaking at $402.
