The "spring rollercoaster" will continue into next week, with warmer than average temperatures expected across the state.
Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Tom Delamotte said the warm weather will come after a cold snap on Saturday.
Mr Delamotte said a cold, westerly change would move through Victoria on Friday afternoon, bringing with it showers and cold air that will continue into Saturday.
He said there was a chance of thunderstorm and hail activity in southern parts of the state on Saturday.
But this cold trend would ease as a high pressure system moves through the state early next week.
"A high is going to cross Victoria during Monday and Tuesday, eventually making its way through the Tasman Sea on Wednesday," he said.
With that, temperatures will rise, particularly on Wednesday, before a cool change moves through later that day.
He said temperatures could reach the mid 30s in north-west Victoria, and generally in the high 20s across the rest of the state.
