Wesley College's state-of-the-art boarding facility offers a contemporary model of learning in residence for senior school students (year 10 to 12), welcoming metropolitan Melbourne, rural and international students.
Life at the boarding school comprises a schedule of educational programs complemented by co-curricular activities, all fully integrated with the senior school at the Glen Waverley campus.
Head of learning in residence Sean Cox said it was completely different to traditional boarding.
"The philosophy behind it is that it is integrated with the senior school and there are shared spaces, programs and pastoral care," he said.
"There is also a real focus on the learning opportunities that come with living in a residential environment."
The learning in residence program recognises that learning is a continuous process that doesn't stop with the end of the school day at 3.30pm.
There is a strong focus on the development of each individual student, with academic, employment, extension and health and wellbeing programs to support students' personal growth.
Students in residence have access to the vast array of co-curricular activities available at Wesley, which can include sport, music, visual and performing arts, catering for all interests and needs.
The learning in residence centre is a collection of eight modern houses arranged around a landscaped central garden courtyard.
Each house has eight twin-share student bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and mentor living quarters.
The communal dining room, which comfortably seats up to 240 people, is open to day and boarding students.
Enrolments are now open for full-time and weekly boarding options at Wesley College, both of which are well-suited to rural and regional families.
Learning in residence scholarships are available for students from rural and regional Australia in year 10 and 11.
