Sheep producers' attention was turned to Hamilton as the annual Sheepvention event was held this week.
This year running for three days, sheep producers from throughout the state and interstate converged on the showgrounds to show their sheep and check out the competition.
More than 1000 sheep representing 15 breeds were shown.
Confidence in the sheep and wool industry was evident at the Merino ram sale on Tuesday, with a new record top price set for the auction. You can read the full report here.
But it was a ram by Willandra Merino stud, Jerilderie, NSW, that stood out, selling privately during the event for $51,000.
Eyes were also on the interbreed judging, which saw some familiar faces take home the broad ribbons. You can read the full report here.
