National’s state president Neil Pankhurst said the party was seeking members interested in continuing its record of delivering for the Wimmera and Mallee.
Nominations close at 5pm, on January 4, and preselection will take place on Saturday, January 19.
“The Nationals are united in our passion for regional communities so when branch members cast their vote they will be supporting the candidate they trust to be a strong voice for them in Canberra,” Mr Pankhurst said.
“The Nationals have a strong record of delivering for Mallee.”
He said since coming to office, in 2013, the party had delivered more than $1 billion in infrastructure funding for the electorate, 26 new mobile phone towers, and free trade agreements to open up new markets for the region's produce.
“Whoever our members select will build on our strong legacy of delivery for the region,” Mr Pankhurst said.
