The specially-crafted Bushy Hill Cut Out trophy was won by Western Australian-based youngster Ethan Harder.
Still a teenager, Mr Harder put on a show for the large crowd who came to watch, defeating a quality field of shearers who competed for the prestigious trophy.
In 2017, Mr Harder shore 602 Merino lambs in eight hours in a shed in WA.
He shore 100 sheep in a day as a seven year-old and 200 as a 13 year-old.
The day at the Clunes Showgrounds had something for everyone, although the shearing competition and friendships came high on the agenda.
While the competition on the board was fierce, there was plenty of time for a chat.
Bushy was no slouch with the handpiece with a best of 357 ewes.
