At The Hamilton and Alexandra College, students enjoy the benefits of country living while accessing the best in independent schooling, according to a spokesman.
This includes a wide range of subject choices, programs, world-class facilities, co-curricular activities and a range of boarding options.
Located in western Victoria, The Hamilton and Alexandra College seeks the best for and from every student.
Students and teachers live and breath this motto and in return are rewarded with mutual trust, respect and caring relationships.
The Hamilton and Alexandra College is known for its sense of community and connectedness and the principal, Dr Andrew Hirst, is passionate about setting the students up to embrace the fast-changing world in which we live while also making a meaningful contribution.
“To best prepare them for their world of tomorrow, we need to provide them with the opportunities to think laterally and imaginatively, and we offer subject choices that enable them to find valuable and consequential solutions,” Dr Hirst said.
The Hamilton and Alexandra College, a co-educational day and boarding school, offers three types of scholarships each year, Academic, General Excellence and Boarding Scholarships.
The Academic Scholarship is open to students entering Year 7 to 12. This scholarship is determined by the national Edutest Examination and successful students receive a reduction in tuition fees.
General Excellence and Boarding Scholarships are open to new students joining the college in Years 6 to 11 and are awarded to students who demonstrate general excellence in academic, performing and visual arts, sport and leadership.
The college has more than 100 boarders who readily use the many boarding options of full time, weekly, daily and casual boarding.
In 2019, the boarding community will enjoy the multi-million redevelopments to facilities, including a separate wing for Year 12 students to optimise their learning and living environment.
All students are supported on an individual level to achieve a confident future.
The 2018 school captain and boarder, Claudia Roberts, gave a Year 12 Valediction speech.
“This school, and all its teachers, have not only taught me, but have made me laugh and guided me. We are now ready to succeed. We believe in ourselves and in each other. As we set out to make new memories, we will fondly remember our time at The Hamilton and Alexandra College and confidently embark on new stages of our lives.”
