CQLX combined agents yarded 2582 head at Gracemere on Friday comprised of 1033 steers and bullocks, 1083 heifers, 278 cows, 60 cows and calves and 124 bulls and mickeys. Cattle were drawn from Nebo, Dingo, Biloela, Baralaba and most local areas. Quality was varied with minimal numbers of prime cattle while cattle returning to the paddock eased this week. However lines to feed and processors cattle were firm on last week’s rate.
Slaughter steers sold to 305.2c, average 295.5c, steers 400-500kg made 298.2c, average 292c, steers 300-400kg reached 300.2c, average 279.2c, steers 200-300kg made 308.2c, average 267.7c and steers under 200kg sold to 302.2c, average 247.7c.
Slaughter cows sold to 264.2c, average 227.3c, cows 400-450kg made 263.2c, average 208.2c, cows 320-400kg reached 224.2c, average 191.8c, and cows under 320kg made 186.2c, average 129.5c.
Heavy heifers sold to 240c, average 235.3c, heifers 300-400kg made 286.2c, average 254.5c, heifers 200-300kg reached 272.2c, average 238.9c, and heifers under 200kg made 240.2c, average 214c.
Cows and calves sold to $1160, average $885.
Bulls over 600kg made 290.2c, average 271.8c, bulls 450-600kg reached 290.2c, average 250.9c and bulls under 450kg sold to 296.2c, average 225.4c.
