A new green has hit in Gippsland with Sale-based Greenwood Livestock coming under the Landmark banner.
The new business known as Landmark Greenwood began operating last week..
The new entity comes after the Leongatha based Landmark agency South Gippsland Livestock owned by Terry Ginnane, Eddie Hams and Stuart Jenkins bought Greenwood Livestock from Ben Greenwood.
SGL co-owner, Terry Ginnane, said Ben Geenwood would stay on in the business as a shareholder.
Mr Ginnane said the strength of the private agency business in Sale would benefit from the strength and backing of a large network through Landmark.
“It has worked really well for us,” he said.
“It is business as usual with Ben staying on as a shareholder.
“People should know that all existing staff at Sale and the client base will be remaining with the new business.
“We buy a lot of store stock from the Sale region and they have a really good business with clients who breed good cattle.
“The two businesses will work hand-in-hand,” Mr Ginnane said.
Mr Greenwood said the new ownership arrangement suited him.
“Both businesses do similar things, we compliment each other,” he said.
“We are committed to continuing our support of the Regional Livestock Exchange at Sale,” Mr Greenwood said.
