Jason O’Loghlin, O’Loghlin Wiltshire Horn stud, Deniliquin, NSW, with the RASV's Gavin Hall and judge Hugh Taylor, Doughboy Romney stud, Kaikoura, New Zealand.
Jason O’Loghlin already has lambs at home by the ram sashed supreme in the Wiltshire Horn judging at the Royal Melbourne Show this year.
“The are by far the best lambs we’ve had on the ground this year – just look at the ram’s length and volume, it has a heap of body,” Mr O’Loghlin said.
The ram weighed 109 kilograms, and had 13 millimetres of fat and an eye muscle area of 37 square centimetres.
Mr O’Loghlin’s Deniliquin, NSW stud, O’Loghlin Wiltshire Horns, was also exhibited the grand champion ewe of the breed, and the reserve champion ram.
He said he was extremely pleased with the result.
