Northern Victorian water co-operative Waterpool is looking to assist its members in receiving 20,000 megalitres of Goulburn Zone Water being offered up for tender by the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder (CEWH).
Waterpool is offering the opportunity to combine any number of members’ bids into a single or number of “bulk” bids.
Each bulk bid will be a maximum of 500 ML.
Only members who have an ABA that is eligible to receive Goulburn 1A water can apply, including tagged ABAs.
Waterpool chief executive Peter Lawford said one of the stipulations contained in the CEWH’s tender success criteria is value for money.
“A bulk transfer of water is more likely to be successful than a number of smaller individual tenders,” Mr Lawford said.
The timeframe for the tender opens on Monday, September 3 at 10am and closes on Wednesday, September 5 at 2pm.
The offer is only open to members, who are invited to bid their commitment to Waterpool by midday Monday, September 3.
Mr Lawford said Waterpool will group bids by price range and contact members to line up similarly priced bids at a single price point.
“Members will have the option, if necessary, to go higher or lower than the bid they submit,” he said.
“Members may wish to make more than one bid, but all bids if successful will be binding.”
The minimum volume of each acceptable bid will be 5 ML.
There will be no buyer commission charge, and a single administration charge of $2 (plus GST) per megalitre will be applicable to each successful bid.
