It was Australia’s turn to host Corriedale breeders from across the globe, as the 16th World Corriedale Congress hit the country.
The tour started in Adelaide, SA, and journeyed through Mt Gambier, SA, to Ballarat, with multiple Corriedale farms visited along the way.
It finished up in Bendigo, where speakers from multiple sectors of the industry provided their insight into the future of the Corriedale breed at a conference.
Presidents from all represented nations were also invited to present on the current state of their industry, with a common sentiment recorded that the breed is in a positive place.
Attendees were then invited to attend the Australian Sheep and Wool Show (ASWS) in Bendigo, where the best Corriedale genetics were on display during two days of judging.
Sweetfield Corriedale stud, Mount Moriac, took out supreme of the breed at the show.
