“Supporting a scholarship at Marcus Oldham is a good fit for us, it makes sense,” multiple Group One winning trainer Darren Weir said.

“Over the years we have had several graduates work with us, and I have been impressed by their work ethic and the different skills they are able to contribute to our business.”

The $10,000 Darren Weir Scholarship is available to applicants enrolled or intending to enrol in Marcus Oldham’s Diploma of Equine Management for the 2019 academic year.

The applicant must be passionate about the thoroughbred racing industry, have a desire to further their learning and pursue a career in the industry.

The Scholarship will provide financial support towards the tuition or residential fee and is available for the entirety of the one-year Diploma of Equine Management Program.
