The Victorian Winter Fair at Bendigo last week attracted more than 200 Holsteins from around Australia.
The show features a Red Holstein Show, a Youth Show, handler classes and a junior judging competition, as well as the main Holstein show.
The supreme senior champion, as well as the premier exhibitor award, was snared by John and Cherie Gardiner’s Avonlea Holsteins, Cardinia, Victoria.
Mr Gardiner bought the supreme senior champion, rising five-year-old Cairnsdale Sid Anastasia, from renowned NSW breeders Stewart and Hayley Menzies in August, after the couple decided to concentrate solely on their Jersey herd.
He had spotted the cow the previous year at the Nowra Show when it was reserve intermediate.
