KOONIK AND MITRE ROCK: The Dohne and Poll Merino stud sells more than 100 Dohne rams, annually, from its stud ewe flock of 450 ewes, for the past five years. Stud principal Darren Cameron said visits to last year's Sheep Week translated into sales success at the annual auction.

KOONIK & MITRE ROCK: Koonik Dohne and Mitre Rock Poll Merino stud principal Darren Cameron said he would be offering both Dohne and Poll Merino rams at this year's annual sale. During Sheep Week, it also exhibited its Dohne team, for this year's Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show.

JANMAC: David Henrich, Landmark Naracoorte, SA, dropped in on Janmac, to see the rams displayed by principals Grant and Bryce Hausler. Based at Goroke, Mr Hausler said the stud focused on producing well-muscled, fast growing rams. He said the stud had a solid client base, from an area around the stud.

JANMAC: The Poll Dorset and White Suffolk studs, Goroke, expect to offer 200 rams, at this year's October annual sale. Stud principal Grant Hausler said recent rain had set the property up for a good season. He said the stud did not enter shows, so Sheep Week gave it the opportunity to display its rams.

TULLAMORE PARK: On show were a group of rams including pure Texels and Texel White Suffolk Poll Dorset cross rams.

TULLAMORE PARK: A group of 2017 drop pure Texel ewe lambs that will be shown during the breed's celebration of 25 years in Australia as feature breed at the Australian Sheep and Wool Show, Sheepvention and Royal Melbourne Show.

WALLALOO PARK: Young ewes await shearing at Wallaloo Park, which had joined Sheep Week for the first time.

WALLALOO PARK: John Carter shows the type of wool the stud is aiming for from its Walladale line, a sheep that has the wool attributes of the stud's Poll and Merino flock but also maternal and meat traits.

KARDINIA: Don Mills, Corowa, NSW, has been in the Dohne breed since "day one" and displayed some of the stud's young sires.

KOONIK: Viewing the Koonik display were Murray Rogerson, Stirling Dohne, Don Mills, Kardinia Dohne, Ray Atwell, Landmark, Fiona Cameron, Koonik Dohne, and Stephen Chalmers, Landmark .

MACQUARIE: Visitors to the Macquarie Dohne display included brothers Max and Ian Pilgri, Minimay, with stud principal, John Nadin, Warren, NSW.

MACQUARIE: John Nadin, Macquarie Dohne, Warren, NSW, brought sheep to the breed's display at St Arnaud to cater for the stud's strong client base in Victoria.

CHARINGA, BANAVIE AND GOWANDALE: Roger and Tim Polkinghorne had an extensive display of 40 of the stud's Merino and Poll Merino rams on display at their first Sheep Week. They said it was an exciting time to be involved in the sheep industry and the day was a chance to expose some of their young rams before the upcoming sales.

KERRILYN: Visitor Greg Mortlock, Dunluce, with Kerrilyn stud principal Norm Weir, Dunluce, with the stud's ewe that was named reserve champion strong wool ewe at the recent Hay Show in NSW.

KERRILYN: Some of the Kerrilyn Merino and Poll Merino rams that will be sold at sales in Sheepvention, the Australian Sheep and Wool Show sale, and at Ballarat.

CHARINGA: Lenny Polkinghorne, who along with partner Maja, operate the Charinga White Suffolk stud, penned a group of the stud's spring drop rams. The stud will have around 220 rams for sale this year.
