The finer things in life were appreciated at a Beef and Champagne Masterclass in Rockhampton on Tuesday night.
While most Queenslanders would pair a red wine or beer with their steak, champagne was on the menu at the event at the Butcher’s Kitchen at the Rockhampton Showgrounds.
French trained champagne expert Kyla Kirkpatrick took attendees back in time to learn about the history of the world’s most revered sparkling wine.
The highly entertaining presentation included tips about proper champagne etiquette, before attendees were invited to taste multiple champagnes side by side to understand the subtle differences of each.
Of course, beef inspired hors d'oeuvres were served to accompany the beverages.
