The 89th Berridale Merino ewe competition was celebrated with a dinner at the Berridale Inn. Neil Lynch was the overall winner with his Main Range-blood flock while Doug Constance took the John Coy People’s Choice Award.
Crookwell-based woolgrowers Michael Lowe, Gavin McDonald and Shannon Arnall enjoyed a couple of days looking at Monaro-bred flocks.
On behalf of the well-known Cooma-based stock and station agency, Gary Evans presenting the Monaro Livestock and Property trophy for overall winner to Neil Lynch, "McCarthy's", Berridale, for his May-shorn, Main Range-blood flock. Neil also won Elders Trophy for first finewool and the Manawa Trophy for first under 500 ewes.
Peter Anderson, Brad Cartwright and Brian Anderson, woolgrowers from Crookwell, took the opportunity to compare their breeding ambitions with like-minded breeders on the Monaro.
