*30 of 42 bulls sold to $12,500, av $5450
BULLS sold to a top of $12,500 at the 44th Annual Guilford Poll Hereford sale, Guilford, Ouse, Tasmania, held on Tuesday.
Sale demand was a bit weaker than expected with 30 bulls out of 42 offered selling for an average of $5450.
While Tasmanian, King Island and Flinders Island buyers were prominent there was also good support from the mainland.
The top priced bull was lot 6 Guilford Anzac M25, a son of Allendale Anzac E114, for $12,500 who sold to AJ & JK Woolley, Glen Huon, Tasmania.
Second top price was lot 1 Guilford Machinist M23, a Kidman Biography son, selling for $11,000 to Greenhill Brothers, Wesley Vale, Tasmania.
JE & PC Macleod, Wallangra Park, Jingellic NSW, purchased three bulls to a top of $9000.
Their purchases included lot 13 Guilford Monogram M121. Monogram was a son of Allendale Bushman F119. Also heading to Jingellic was lot 4, Guilford Majestic M84, also by Bushman, selling for $6500.
Ewenmar Herefords of Tooma, NSW, also purchased three bulls.
Killara Pastoral of Flinders Island purchased three bulls paying to a top of $7000 for lot 22 Guilford Mercury M54 a Guilford Governor G38 son.
Four bulls sold to King Island including Lot 11 Guilford Master M6, a son of Kidman Biography H008, purchased by Millwood Pastoral for $7000.
