MASSEY FERGUSON is bringing three new tractors to Australia.
Part of the new MF 6700 global series, the tractors deliver up to 98 kilowatts (132 horsepower) of power.
Marketed as a sturdy and straight-forward, all-purpose tractor, Massey Ferguson, product manager, Paul Morris said the tractors were a culmination of significant investment in the series.
“These completely new tractors are the first in the segment to be developed in the 21 st century,” he said.
“Using the most modern design and manufacturing technology.
“The modern, straight-forward Global Series tractors are purpose-built for ease of use, cost effective operation and superior reliability without compromising on comfort or performance.”
Mr Morris said the tractors featured advanced Agco 4.4 litre, tier two, four cylinder engines with a mechanical transmission and electro-hydraulic wet clutch system.
“The six synchronised gears in two ranges have a top speed of 40 kilometres an hour,” he said.
“With a 2.5 metre wheelbase and 5.2 tonne linkage capacity, now extend these benefits into another sector.”
“Strong and agile, they make ideal loader tractors, capable of handling heavy loads.”
“They are also perfect for livestock and mixed farming enterprises, while their ease of operation and low cost of ownership makes them well-suited to working in fleets on large enterprises, or as the second or third main tractor on big arable farms.”
Mr Morris said the tractors had a degree of automation, making control easier.
“Electro-hydraulic activation of the differential lock and 4WD, for example, automatically disengages and activates the systems when the brakes are applied according to speed,” he said.
