The Spencer family from Yuroke backed up their Royal Adelaide Show success by winning supreme exhibit of the breed with a two year-old first-calf heifer and grand champion bull in the Shorthorn judging.
Both exhibits were sired by Glengyron Governor from the Tippett family, Ballarat.
Spencer Family Coco Starlight won supreme exhibit of the breed, in which nine studs competed.
“She’s very structurally sound, moderately framed and has a high milking ability – as you can see, she’s giving everything to her calf,” Luke Spencer said.
She had her first calf, a five month-old bull, at-foot.
Grand champion bull Spencer Family Zephyr was also the junior champion. Its dam won interbreed at the Royal Melbourne Show four years ago.
