Progressive Poll Hereford genetics were the order of the day at the 12th Annual Kanimbla Poll Herefords bull and females sale held on property “Kanimbla”, Holbrook.
Twenty nine of the 37 bulls offered sold for an average price of $6482 with a top of $13,000 recorded for Kanimbla Spartan L099 a son of Kanimbla Power Play J066.
Spartan L099 was snapped up my the Quamby Plains and Chester Poll Hereford Studs both of Tasmania.
The second top price of $10,500 was recorded twice.
Elm Vale Poll Herefords purchased the 2017 Sydney Royal Junior Champion bull Kanimbla Super Duty L067 who was sired by Kanimbla Lucky Dice H143.
Kanimbla Robin Hood L046 a son of Allendale Robin Hood D194 was purchased by RB Corkhill & Co, Boorowa.
The 10 heifers offered and sold recorded an average price of $3725 and reached a top of $4500 on three occasions.
Kanimbla Jenny M041 a joined heifer sired by Mawarra Manitoba J051 sold to strong supporters of the Kanimbla program Coonong Station, Urana.
While Llandillo Poll Herefords, Bathurst, purchased another Mawarra Manitoba J051 daughter from the Jenny cow family in Kanimbla Jenny M066.
Kanimbla Lady Jessie M078 sired by Kaminbla Power Play J066 sold to AL & PA Crerar, Merriwa, who purchased four heifers in total for a $4250 average.
The auction was conducted by agents in conjunction Elders and Landmark with Peter Godbolt tallying the bids.
