The recent rain fell at exactly the right time for Hamilton cropper Graeme Moyle, after two dry months.
Mr Moyle said the property received 40mm, ideal for the canola and wheat. He said the ground dried out in June and July, after April’s falls. “We had all our urea out about a week and a half ago and we are up to date with our spraying program,” Mr Moyle said.
“We have a couple of hundred hectares in front of us. As soon as it dries out, we’ll be putting fungicides out.”
