The Elmore Field Days will be holding a Demonstration Day devoted to Tillage, Sowing and Spraying Equipment on the Elmore Events Centre site on Wednesday, 11 March 2009, commencing from 10.00 a.m.
Always popular the Demonstration Day will provide farmers, grain growers and cropping operators throughout the rural districts of north central Victoria and the southern Riverina, with a pre-season insight into available equipment, new releases and the performance differences of each type of machine.
According to Ged McCormick, Executive Officer of the Elmore Field Days, the emphasis of the Demonstration Day will be on working equipment demonstrations with each particular machine allocated adequate time for an explanation of its particular features and its role in a cropping enterprise followed by a working demonstration.
“An additional area of the Field Days site is available for participating companies who wish to continue with private working demonstrations of their equipment to interested farmers.
“At the conclusion of the demonstration, each machine will be returned to the static display area where inspections and further discussions will be possible.
“We are also making available additional display space in an adjacent area to the demonstrations by suppliers of complementary products and components including spray tips and holders, spray monitoring systems, soil openers, points and discs and point and disc hardening systems.”
Mr McCormick added that the Elmore Field Days Committee has determined to make the Demonstration Day economical for both exhibitors and visitors.
A $10 admission charge applies and interested farmers are invited to attend what is planned to be an interesting and relevant day for cropping enterprise operators
“We chose the date to assist farmers in evaluating their forward capital investment plans for tillage, sowing and spraying equipment for the following cropping season.
“Full Elmore Field Days site facilities including catering will operate for the Demonstration Day.
“We have received a good level of support already from machinery companies and their dealers while registrations of interest and confirmations of participation are invited from all relevant suppliers of equipment, machinery and technology” Mr McCormick added
