Mutton values slip $3-$8 a head at Hamilton
Sheep values eased $3 to $8/head from their record highs at the weekly Hamilton mutton sale last Thursday excepting for heavy and extra heavy weight crossbred ewes that attained firm rates late in the sale.
Agents offered 14,859 head, which included 5,843 store ewes sold immediately following the prime sale.
The National Livestock Reporting Service said quality for the yarding was mixed for the usual field of buyers although one NSW exporter who competed strongly in the previous sale did not re-attend.
