THE INAUGURAL Matthew George Young Stockman Award will give a young beef cattle producer the opportunity to travel overseas to study beef cattle breeding practices.
Set up in memory of Matthew George, Stockyard Hill, who was killed in a car accident in 2007 aged 21, the winner will travel overseas to study beef cattle breeding practices.
Young cattle breeders, aged 18 to 25 are invited to enter.

Applications close June 30 with the inaugural award to be presented in conjunction with the 2009 Royal Melbourne Show.
