Farmers to get bushfire grants
FARM businesses directly affected by February's bushfires will be eligible for one-off grants of up to $10,000 from the bushfires appeal fund to help repair or replace infrastructure.
Farmers who have not been eligible for previous grants will be eligible for $10,000.
Those who have received some funding can get a $5000 grant.
The grants come as federal tax laws are changed to allow those who were unable to receive grants to get the assistance they need to help rebuild their farms.
