There was 900 yarded at Pakenham today in an all-female sale, where 2.5-year-old PTIC Angus heifers sold to the sale top of $1220.
The pen of 12 from Aeolus Nominees, Flinders, were PTIC to a Limo bull and bought by SEJ.
The second highest-priced pen was 10 of the same at $1200, bought by Landmark Warragul, account George Schuhkraft, who bought 30 Aoelus females for his vealer operation at Childers.
Aeolus Noms offered nearly 100 head, with the other pens selling from $720 to the top pen, av nearly $1030.
Another vendor to crack the $1000/head mark was Graeme Damon, Nyora, who sold 13 PTIC Angus heifers, 2.5yo to calve February 1, at $1010.
However these prices were the minority, with most other vendors struggling to make beyond $800/head, including cows and calves.
